We’ll pick you up from the airport or your preferred location (with prior coordination) and head to Ollantaytambo. This lower-altitude town is ideal for acclimatizing while enjoying its charming streets and local cuisine. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore and rest.

🏛️ Day 2: Ollantaytambo Inca City Tour

We explore two main sectors of Ollantaytambo: the impressive Inca Fortress in Araq’ama and the preserved streets of the Qosqo Ayllu neighborhood. In the afternoon, hike up to Pinkuylluna Mountain to visit ancient Inca storage structures and learn about traditional market life.

🚴 Day 3: Moray, Maras & Salt Mines (Hike or Bike)

This day combines adventure and history. Choose between mountain biking or hiking to the agricultural terraces of Moray, the colonial town of Maras, and the scenic Salineras salt pans. Both options offer spectacular views of the Andes and insight into Inca innovations.

🥾 Day 4: Hike to Huchuy Qosqo

After breakfast, we begin a full-day trek to the remote ruins of Huchuy Qosqo, a lesser-known but majestic Inca palace perched above the Sacred Valley. Starting from Chinchero, we cross scenic landscapes and stop for a box lunch mid-hike.

Note: Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, a rain jacket, and sun protection.

🌄 Day 5: Patacancha Culture + Pumamarca Fortress

We ascend to the community of Patacancha to witness traditional Andean weaving techniques. Then, help prepare and enjoy a delicious Pachamanca—a meal cooked underground with hot stones.

In the afternoon, we visit the Inca fortress of Pumamarca and hike along an ancient trail connecting to Ollantaytambo.

🏔️ Day 6: Visit Machu Picchu

We take an early train to Aguas Calientes, then a bus up to Machu Picchu. Your guide will lead you through this architectural marvel, sharing its rich history and mysteries. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollantaytambo or optionally continue to Cusco.
