🗓 Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome and Sacred Valley Transfer
Our staff will pick you up from your specified location and take you through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo, where you’ll settle in. Early arrivals can explore the charming Inca village to begin acclimatizing.
Day 2: Road to Quillabamba – City Tour & Local Museum
After breakfast, we drive toward Quillabamba, an Amazonian town in Cusco. Optional mountain biking descent (60 km) available. After hotel check-in, we explore the town’s main attractions and visit the local museum.
Day 3: Coffee & Cacao Experience + Waterfall Hike
Visit a local farm to learn the process of coffee and cacao production. Later, we’ll hike through lush rainforest to the waterfalls of Maranura—an hour of light trekking surrounded by vibrant flora and fauna.
Day 4: Journey to Vilcabamba – Yurac Rumi & Vitcos
We head into the Andes via a scenic 3-hour drive. Upon arrival in Vilcabamba, we explore the sacred Yurac Rumi (Inca-carved monolith with petroglyphs) and the spectacular Vitcos fortress.
Day 5: Full-Day Hike to Inka Tambo
The most challenging day: a 16 km round-trip hike to reach the mysterious Inka Tambo. Along preserved Inca trails, discover this strategic Inca site hidden deep in the mountains. Total hiking time: 7–8 hours.
Day 6: Return to Ollantaytambo or Cusco
Depart Vilcabamba at 9:00 AM for a 6-hour drive with scenic stops. Depending on your plans, choose to stay in Ollantaytambo or continue to Cusco (1.5 hrs more by car).
Day 7: Return & Optional City Tour in Cusco
Spend your final morning in Ollantaytambo. At 9:00 AM we head to Cusco. Optional city tour of the historic center and San Pedro Market available, depending on your schedule.
