Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Pick-up in Ollantaytambo

Our team will pick you up at the airport (or your chosen location) to transfer you to Ollantaytambo, a charming Inca town. Being at a lower altitude than Cusco, it offers a smoother acclimatization and reduces the risk of altitude sickness. The rest of the day will be at leisure to explore the colorful town and taste local gastronomy.

Day 2: Ollantaytambo City Tour

Discover the Last Living Inca City, exploring:

  • The archaeological fortress of Ollantaytambo with its impressive terraces and temples.
  • Stories of Manco Inka’s resistance against the Spanish.
  • Walking along Inca streets with original water canals still in use today.

Day 3: Moray, Maras & Salineras – Chinchero Fortress & Textiles

A full day of history and culture:

  • Moray: Ancient Inca agricultural laboratory with unique circular terraces.
  • Maras: Colonial town with viceroyalty-era houses and cobblestone streets.
  • Salineras de Maras: More than 3,000 salt pools still harvested by local families.
  • Chinchero: Inca fortress, Tupac Yupanqui’s palace, and a traditional weaving workshop with Quechua women artisans.

Day 4: Cultural Day in Patacancha & Pumamarca Hike

Experience living culture with:

  • Andean weaving demonstrations in Patacancha.
  • Traditional Pachamanca lunch cooked underground with hot stones.
  • Afternoon hike to Pumamarca Fortress along ancient Inca trails.

Day 5: Pisac Ruins & Handicraft Market – Train to Machu Picchu

  • Pisac Ruins: Terraces, temples, necropolis and panoramic views of the Sacred Valley.
  • Market: Textiles, silver, ceramics and colorful handicrafts directly from local artisans.

Day 6: Visit Machu Picchu
