🚐 Ollantaytambo – Moray Archaeological Site
We start from Ollantaytambo and drive approximately 1 hour to reach Moray, an Inca site known for its circular terraces used for agricultural research. Enjoy a 40-minute guided tour of this fascinating site.
🥾 Moray – Maras Village
We begin our scenic hike towards the picturesque Maras village, walking on a slightly sloped trail with incredible views of the Sacred Valley and snow-capped peaks. Depending on group pace, we may enjoy lunch here.
🧂 Maras – Salt Pools
We continue our trek through farmlands and natural lookouts until reaching the famous Salt Pools of Maras. Our guide will explain the ancient process of salt extraction still practiced today. The walking route offers the best panoramic view of the terraces.
🏞️ Salt Pools – Pichingoto – Tarabamba
The trail descends toward the traditional community of Pichingoto, ending at the Vilcanota River and the Tarabamba parking lot, where our private transport will be waiting.
