Day 1: Ollantaytambo – Abra Málaga – Huamanmarca – Vilcabamba
Departure at 09:00. Bike 56 km descent from Abra Málaga (4350 m) to Huamanmarca, followed by transport to Vilcabamba-Huancancalle for overnight at a local lodge.
Day 2: Yurac Rumi & Vitcos
Guided trek to Yurac Rumi and Vitcos, the last stronghold of Manco Inca. You’ll witness exceptional Inca stone architecture in a remote and powerful setting.
Day 3: Trek to Inka Tambo
A 13 km (6–7 h) hike to Inka Tambo (Inka Wasi) along sections of the Inca Trail. Expect panoramic views and captivating ruins.
Day 4: Vilcabamba – Santa Teresa
Bike descent (56 km) to Chaullay, followed by transport to Santa Teresa. In the afternoon, relax in the C’cocalmayo hot springs before dinner at EcoQuechua Lodge.
Day 5: Trek to Machu Picchu Town
- Optional: Zipline in Santa Teresa
- 2–3 h hike from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes (or train option: USD 28)
Day 6: Visit Machu Picchu
Early entry to explore the citadel. Option to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (+USD 30).
Day 7: Return to Ollantaytambo or Cusco
Transport provided after breakfast. Option to extend your journey to Moray‑Maras‑Salt Mines if desired.
