🚐 Ollantaytambo – Abra Malaga

We begin with a 1-hour drive from Ollantaytambo to the top of the Abra Malaga pass, where our hike begins.

🥾 Abra Malaga – Qeuña Forest – T’astayoc

Wrapped warmly, we start the descent toward the forest, observing dramatic changes in climate and vegetation as we go. Along the trail, expect to see Andean birds, llamas, alpacas, and native trees like qeuñas and chachacomas. Mount Veronica (Wak’ay Willka) provides a breathtaking backdrop.

The trail leads us to T’astayoc, where we stop for lunch and meet our transport back.

🚙 T’astayoc – Ollantaytambo

The return drive to Ollantaytambo takes around 40 minutes.
