Ollantaytambo – Chinchero

Our departure starts from our office in Ollantaytambo or you can be picked up anywhere in the Sacred Valley or Cusco City (prior coordination). Then we head to the district of Chinchero for the first visit to the textile handicraft center where we will share experiences with families who will teach us their ancestral weaving techniques and processes. After the visit we will continue to the next stop: the Piuray lagoon.

In order to enter the lagoon, our team will provide you with the necessary equipment and will also give you a proper introduction so that you can enter the lagoon safely and have fun in the process.

After our adventure in the lagoon, we went to our favorite restaurant to have a good meal.

Trekking to Chinchero Fortress

After lunch we have the warm walk through the fortress of Chinchero, knowing its main temples and structures that were part of a fortress with great dominance in agriculture and that, until now, is characterized by its large production of varieties of Andean potatoes, our walk also takes a short stretch of the Inca Trail that connects with the canyon of the Sacred Valley and the Vilcanota River (Wilkamayu), but this time we will only know its main entrance and the terraces that surround them. Chinchero has a great diversity of flora and fauna that make your visit pleasant and harmonious for everything that surrounds it. After the tour we conclude with the coordination of your return to Cusco or if you wish to continue to any part of the Sacred Valley we will help you with the logistics.
